The price surge is spreading

Back to news

Property prices in areas outside of London hit record breaking levels.

After the typical Christmas dip in the property market, it sprang back to life in Q1 2014. New listings increased, selling times dropped and the average asking price for Britain reached a record high.

The North and the South of the UK saw improvements in Q1 and we expect to see more in the North during the coming months as growth continues to spread from the Capital.

Robin King, Director, Move with Us commented: “Faster selling times, increased supply and rising asking prices are all positive signs for home owners. Q2 2014 may hold further improvements on the back of a good start to the year.”

“It’s no longer just London which is experiencing rises in the average asking price, it’s happening in many regions in Britain.”
